Easter 2010

Mia will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. Time feels like it is flying...well except for at night when our sweet little girl decides she doesn't want to sleep. We are all doing well though. Isabel is still excited to have her sister around and has yet to ask for her to be "put back" so that is a good sign. Mia is growing and is now wearing only 3 month clothes...her newborn clothes have been turned into doll clothes.

We have now given Mia a bottle twice and both times she sucked it down, and couldn't have cared less that it wasn't straight from mom. Geoffrey was amazed as Mia took her bottle better than Isabel ever took a bottle from him. After all the trouble we had with Isabel and bottle refusal, this is quite a relief to know that when I return to work in June that Mia won't be putting up the same fight her big sister did. Isabel has also decided that she too can pump. She places my exercise ball pump on her belly. She was also kind enough to announce in Safeway on Sunday (after Geoffrey called to say Mia was hungry and I told Isabel we had to finish shopping so I could go home and pump) "Isabel pumps on her belly...and mommy pumps on her neeepple!"

After a wonderful 6 weeks of paternity leave, Geoffrey returned to work this morning. So far so good. We all got out of bed around 7 and after Isabel finishes her breakfast (she is the world's slowest cereal eater), we'll be getting dressed, taking Isabel to school and Mommy and Mia will be running some errands and hanging out at home. Life is good :).

Below are my favorite pictures from Easter. We spent relaxing 5 days in VA Beach and it was the perfect vacation for us.

Isabel on the trip down...what more can I say?
